This was a challenging project we encountered transforming a normal small office not equipped in terms of sound and lighting into a fully equipped studio.

The office had two glass walls facing the Ras El Khaimah Road with direct sunlight occupying the office space. We worked on this project as a team consisting of specialized set designer, light designer, sound engineer and camera director. The team was able to transform this small office into a fully equipped studio with a control room. It was designed in a way that the set can be easily used for more than one program, providing flexible camera movement around the platform, and video wall was installed. In addition, 0.6 & 0.9 Neutral Density roll was used to solve the sunlight problem, we treated the AC sound problem by the installation of acoustic panels, floor parquet was replaced by carpet for sound absorption, LED light was used for table and platform to make it easy to change the décor colors.

The design program was divided into four stages:

• Conceptual Design

• Technical Items Positioning Drawings

1. Specification book for all the material including carpets, lights, wood, veneer, gypsum, acoustic, motorized roller, chroma curtain, painting and any other material used in design
2. Structural details of platform
3. Installation details of wood panels – Logo material, dimensions and finishing
4. Video wall installation and connection
5. Wiring and conduits
6. Table detailed design with dimensions
7. Details of gypsum bulkhead with correct dimensions considering the acoustic requirements.
8. acoustic details on the ceiling after removing the existing false ceiling
9. Ceiling mounted rails for cameras
10. Layout and installation details of studio lighting
